The Women’s Summit in September aimed to bring together women in full-time leadership positions within our church, make their experiences visible, explore new perspectives together, and empower them in their service.
In open discussion sessions, the participants addressed questions that directly affect their daily work: What drains women’s energy in their service? What do they need to sustain their work in the long term? What resources do they bring to the table – and what structural conditions need to change? Topics included collaboration and communication, roles and expectations, appreciation, support, and balancing different areas of life.
A practical highlight was the workshop led by Sandy Civric-Heim, entitled “Stay Grounded. Plan Wisely. Make a Powerful Impact.” Topics such as self-care, stress management, inner drivers, one’s personal sphere of influence, priorities, and decision-making were not only discussed but also translated into practical applications for everyday life.
In addition to the substantive discussions, there was also time for networking and personal conversations. The Summit also made one thing clear: Taking on responsibility does not mean carrying everything alone.
