The Bulgarian Women’s Department team had the privilege and joy to spend their weekend with the Inter-European Division Women’s ministries leader Denise Hochstrasser. Our first team meeting was on June 24 - Friday evening in the village of Varvara. After dinner we prayed and sang songs to praise our Lord. We discussed a lot of issues and proposals about the work of the Women’s Department Team in Bulgaria and we all were encouraged by the stories we shared with Denise. On June 26, 2016 in Sofia, a Leadership Seminar took place. It was attended by about 40 women from the Seventh Day Adventist Churches in the country. Denise Hochstrasser shared the goals and told us more about the work of the Women’s Department. She told us about the variety of activity projects in the Department. Every one of the participants shared their own idea, what had moved them most and on which she would start working on. We started the seminar with a model of a winter tree – bare and waiting for the spring to wake up with new life. In the end of the Seminar we had a tree full of leaves and flowers – symbols of the ideas and activities that will follow.
