“My heart is full of joy when I think back on the women’s retreat," were the words of one of the participants of the retreat in Hesselberg from March 31 to April 2.
Sylvia Renz, the speaker, presented the topic “Make a plus out of your minus” and caused us to reflect. Confronted with the question as to how we can accomplish this transformation she explained: “Just add a vertical line through the minus - and you get a plus +!... and at the same time you have the connection ‘upwards’.” Sylvia spoke about the negative and unpleasant feelings Adam and Eve must have experienced. We are all affected by such feelings, by the various nuances of our shame and guilt.
Sylvia showed the way out through discernment, release, grace, forgiveness, faith in God, humility, gratitude and love. The retreat was a boon for body, soul and spirit and the 41 women enjoyed the lovely scenery, the good food and heartfelt communion so that they went home with the assurance of being Gods beloved daughters.
