On Sabbath, July 4, the Women’s Ministries (WM) of the Adventist church in Bovisio, in northern Italy, concluded their activities for the 2025–2026 church year with a gathering at the home of sister Silvia Leo.
After enjoying lunch together, we joined in prayer. Eugenia Carbone, director of the local WM, brought us together in love and unity. Then, Silvia led the Bible study. One of the verses cited was from Jeremiah 29, which says: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (v. 11).
We discussed the question: “How often do we look at one another through the eyes of the world, and how often through the eyes of God?” The discussion was once again constructive, and through the Bible, we realized that it is harder to forgive one another than it is to receive divine forgiveness.
This was followed by a time of sharing our personal experiences, and we had the chance to laugh and joke around. We parted ways at sunset, filled with joy and happiness. We truly enjoyed each other’s company and the presence of our Lord.
