20 enthusiastic women and one gentleman spent the weekend 16-19 November 2017 in intensive study of the topics of the Women’s Ministries Leadership Certification program. Included in this level are the subjects: Understanding other cultures, Mentoring, Finding your spiritual gifts, How to prepare a sermon, How to balance work and family, Hospitality, a Personality test, Women in the New Testament and Enditnow. The Sabbath morning was devoted to studying what Ellen White said about the roles of women after which the topic of prayer was presented in a practical way called United Prayer. God blessed the seminar with his presence.
These seminars are presented in a co-operation of the German-speaking Unions in Europe so that the seminars are an ongoing joint project, with each region offering one seminar per year. Thus women who want to complete the training are able to do so within a year if they attend the seminars in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
The women were dismissed with prayers of dedication an blessing and many are looking forward to the next unit when they can come together to learn more about how to be effective leaders in God’s church as well as using their talents in God's service.
