More beautiful autumn weather could not have been expected for this day, as the sun dispersed the morning mists, shining from a clear blue sky, as about 30 women arrived at the SDA church property in Ansbach for a day of encounter. They looked forward to singing, prayer, discussion, new friendships and reconnecting with old friends.
After a snack prepared by the women of the local church the program started with singing and prayer and introductions. Tina Tschage, the day’s speaker, showed that we have to treat ourselves well, that is, love ourselves, before we can love and serve others. A delicious lunch was served in the beautifully decorated fellowship hall und laughter and chatting filled the air.
During the afternoon the speaker made clear that we as wives, mothers, daughters have the right to say “No” when we feel unable to cope or pressured as well as when we realize that we need time for ourselves to recharge our emotional batteries.
It was a blessed day for all participants.
