Women of Grace & Men of Honor

A weekend full of depth, creativity, and fellowship

From April 10 to 12, the “Women of Grace & Men of Honor” weekend took place in Austria for the second time. Although the “Women of Grace” event—developed by Women’s Ministries was offered exclusively to young women the first time, men were also invited to be part of this wonderful project for young adults this time around.

Brigitte Zachhuber and Reinhard Schwab led the weekend with inspiring and creatively designed sessions on the topic of character, during which participants were repeatedly encouraged to create and experiment on their own. Together, they explored various men and women of the Bible and reflected on the character traits that shaped their lives and the significance these traits still hold for their own faith journeys today.

In addition to the presentations and group singing, there was plenty of time for personal reflection and creativity. The workbooks—designed specifically for the event—were particularly enriching, as they allowed participants to jot down thoughts, work through questions, and put creative ideas into practice. It wasn’t uncommon for people to work on them creatively late into the night, thus reflecting on the sessions.

Fellowship was also a central part of the weekend: shared meals, walks, Frisbee matches, conversations around the campfire, spectacular stop-motion films, and times of singing and devotions made the weekend a special experience.

“Women of Grace & Men of Honor” was a weekend full of meaningful encounters, inspiring reflections, and an invitation to consciously examine one’s own character and life of faith.
