On Sabbath, March 21, the Adventist church in Bovisio Masciago, observed the Women’s International Day of Prayer. We praised the Lord with songs and prayers. Our guest speaker, Monica Carozzi, coordinator of Women’s Ministries for the churches of northern Italy, delivered a sermon titled “God Turns Our Tears into Stars.” She shared a beautiful message of encouragement. It is true that believers suffer and weep like everyone else, but we believe in a God who comforts, strengthens, sustains, and gives hope where there is none. Among the biblical examples mentioned were Hagar, Hannah, and the widow of Nain.
In the afternoon, we met to make bookmarks with Bible verses, which we could also give as gifts. Then we concluded with herbal tea and sweet and savory pastries.
