Women Come Together in Sisterhood in Lentini, Italy

Moments of Relaxation are a Necessity

On March 10, the Adventist church in Lentini, Sicily (Italy), became a cherished space for sharing and sisterhood, far from the daily routine that often consumes us completely. It was a special evening, born from a deep desire to simply come together for the pleasure of being together, sitting around a table to share a pizza and, above all, fragments of lived experience.
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, every barrier fell away, making room for sincere and deep conversation. We opened up to one another with that natural ease unique to women, offering each other a listening ear and mutual support in a way that felt like home and genuine understanding.

The beauty of this gathering was extraordinarily enriched by the participation of the young girls, with whom we also shared their daily struggles. Their presence made the atmosphere even more joyful and demonstrated that the desire to connect and support one another knows no age.

Taking time for these moments of pure relaxation isn’t just a pleasure—it’s a genuine necessity for the spirit. Stepping away from the hectic pace of everyday life to immerse ourselves in a world of smiles, shared confidences, and solidarity allows us to recharge our energy and feel part of something greater. This evening reminded us to take a moment to look each other in the eyes and say, “I understand you,” which is the greatest gift we can give one another. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11NIV).

We returned home with lighter hearts, aware that, despite the struggles of everyday life, there is a network of hands and hearts always ready to support us.
