Our special program for Women’s Day at the Hamburg Latina-International church was a day full of blessings and joy for all of us. I chose “Unity” as the theme. We reflected on how the joint efforts of all believers—in fellowship and in obedience to God’s Word—can help us fulfill the tasks and goals that God has planned for each of us and for the church.
The story of the fall of the walls of Jericho and the gathering of the apostles in the upper room after Jesus’ crucifixion served as biblical examples. The corresponding Bible passages were Joshua chapter 6 and Acts chapter 2, supplemented by thoughts from Ellen G. White’s writings.
The program was made particularly touching by personal testimonies. Our sister in the faith, Maricela, who had taken on the role of moderator, also concluded the topic with her own testimony. It was very moving, as it was an experience she had had just the day before while decorating the church.
Thanks to everyone’s contribution, a very special Sabbath was made possible—and best of all: the church was nearly full. The joy, fellowship, and sense of community made this day unforgettable.
We are deeply grateful to God for everything He makes possible.
