The Women’s Ministry department of the Marbella Adventist Church held a special program to mark Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day. On Sabbath, June 20, the sermon “Queen at All Costs or Princess of God?” was presented, along with the seminar “God Needs You.”
The following day, Sunday, June 21, a women’s morning event took place under the title “Space of Abundance: The Art of Caring for What God Created.” The main purpose of this gathering was to provide a space for relaxation and spiritual ministry for both church members and invited friends, using self-care as a bridge to share the love of Christ.
A SPACE OF TRUST AND LEARNING
The day began with team-building activities and icebreakers that fostered an atmosphere of trust, joy, and camaraderie among attendees of all ages. This was followed by a hands-on skincare workshop led by a beauty expert. She shared valuable professional advice on skin health, explaining which treatments and products are best suited for each person based on their skin type.
This technical and educational session allowed the participants to share a time of self-care and learning focused on their own well-being, serving as the perfect prelude to the main part of the morning: spiritual reflection.
THE SPIRITUAL PEARL: TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
During the “Spiritual Pearl,” the importance of taking care of ourselves holistically—both inside and out—was emphasized, reminding us that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Just as the body needs water, good nutrition, physical exercise, and the eight natural remedies, our face also requires special attention. Keeping the skin clean and hydrated is, in fact, synonymous with overall health and well-being.
Inspired by Psalm 139:14, attendees were reminded that they were wonderfully made by the hand of the Creator. Therefore, we have the blessed responsibility to keep the creation that God has entrusted to us in good condition and beautiful form.
As a reminder of this commitment, each attendee received a special gift: a small bag containing hand cream, nail care supplements, and a card with the motto: “Cared-for hands, peaceful heart”. The event concluded with a time of fellowship and a light snack, solidifying this program as a powerful testimony of relational evangelism and Christian love in Marbella.
