  • Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day, June 13, 2026, in Bucharest

What greater blessing could we have than to be together in the House of the Lord at the beginning of the Sabbath and during the worship service, as the last rays of the sun embraced the day that was drawing to a close! In that atmosphere of peace and fellowship, our hearts were united in a single desire: to respond to God’s call to ministry.

The theme of this special day, “We Need You,” served as the central thread throughout the entire program and, at the same time, an invitation to every woman and every believer to become a co-worker with God in His great mission work. Following the moment of dedication and the personal commitment expressed at the beginning of the program—to be one in the love, service, and hope of Christ—we offered prayers in which we placed our lives in the Lord’s hands. The six presentations given by our sisters illustrated the beauty and diversity of the roles God entrusts to women: daughter, wife, mother, friend, faithful servant, and missionary. Through the biblical examples presented and the personal experiences shared, each participant was able to relate to these stories. I thank from the bottom of my heart all the sisters involved for their willingness, dedication, and the joy with which they serve within the Women’s Ministries Department.

On Sabbath morning, we had the privilege of welcoming our special guest, Associate Professor Dr. Corina Matei. During the 9:00 a.m. prayer service, she spoke to us about humility, one of the most precious qualities of a mission worker, reminding us that God can work powerfully through those who give Him their whole heart. The children were delighted by the story titled “The Brave Hummingbird,” through which they learned that they must never give up when fighting for what is good and beautiful. In the presentation titled “Inspiring Women,” Corina shared experiences from her own family (about her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother) as well as other life stories that demonstrated how God transforms lives and shapes character when people choose to follow His guidance. The message was a powerful encouragement for all the women present, calling us to become, in turn, sources of inspiration for those around us.

The worship program was enriched by the community choir, conducted by Nadia, whose songs directed our gaze toward our heavenly homeland, the place for which our souls long. At the conclusion of the service, each participant received a missionary bookmark, with the encouragement to pass it on to someone in need of hope, encouragement, and the good news of the Gospel. The Women’s Ministries Sabbath concluded in an atmosphere of deep gratitude and spiritual inspiration as hearts were uplifted by music and a poem calling us to get involved in God’s work. We returned home with the same conviction that had accompanied us throughout the day: “God needs each one of us. Every willing heart can become a blessing to someone. Every step taken in obedience can change a life.” May this day remain in our hearts not only as a beautiful memory, but as the beginning of a new dedication to serving God and our fellow human beings.
