  • The Fruit of Caring as Sisters

On Saturday, September 7, the baptism of seven people who had decided to give their lives to Christ took place in the Selah church of Elche. One of the participants in this spiritual feast was Fanny, the first fruit of a ministry based on service, friendship and sorority. She is a woman who came into contact with the visitation and care group for single women that began to function just a year and a half ago, as an initiative of the Women's Ministries Group of the Church of Elche Raval. The group of volunteers who are active in thes ministry is made up of sisters who have carried out different activities focused on meeting arising needs, providing wome with various services, among which we can include cleaning the home, personal accompaniment, service of manicure and hygiene for hospitalized women among others. Through visitation and home assistance, personal attention and accompaniment in situations of illness or hospitalization, the friendly relations fill a special space in the lives of women and opens the way to prayer and the shared study of the word of God . The power of God's grace transforms the lives of the volunteers and those assisted, creating networks of friendship and empowering them through the spiritual and personal strengthening of both. We thank the Lord for allowing us to enjoy such great joy, convinced that we still have much to do and many women to bring hope to, guided by the hand of our loving God and for his glory.
