40 women and men attended a weekend organized by the Consulting Committee of Enditnow in Germany in Mücke from November 25-27, 2016, in order to break the silence about abuse in our churches. The professionals Dr. Hans Gerhardt, Martin Wurster and Oliver Gall provided information as to how we should act when we suspect abuse. It was also interesting to learn about the phases a victim passes through. Many victims have never found help of any kind. Abuse is something we should take seriously and that is why this weekend was organized so that more people learn how to react when such things come up.
