A weekend full of women, laughter, depth, and the occasional necessary insight for strengthening one’s faith. That’s exactly what this gathering felt like. A bit like a spa treatment for the soul—only without cucumber slices on the eyes, but instead with heartfelt conversations. From June 5–7, the women of the German-Swiss Conference came together in Oberägeri.
A Warm Start
We began just as women do: with culinary delights, heartfelt encounters, reunions, and getting to know one another—and then, like a sweet dollop of whipped cream, came the first biblical reflections; brief, powerful, and packed with an astonishing amount of wisdom from the Bible passages.
Workshops That Went Deeper
The workshop on friendship was a mix of insights and “Ah, that’s right!” moments. Friendship is work, but the kind of work you’re happy to do when you remember how good it makes you feel. It’s work that nourishes the heart. There was plenty of laughter along the way.
A Space for Authenticity
The second workshop was a small revolution. Setting boundaries sounds so simple until you actually have to do it. And we realized: Boundaries aren’t walls. Amid all the exercises, conversations, and fits of laughter, something emerged that you can’t plan for: an atmosphere in which every woman was allowed to be exactly who she is.
• loud or quiet
• tired or full of energy
• vulnerable or strong
• or all of those things at once
It was a space where no one had to be perfect, and that’s exactly why everything felt so real.
What Remains
We went home with:
• new insights
• strengthened hearts
• a few courageous resolutions
• and the knowledge that we are not alone, because God is very close to us in the midst of our chaos, our laughter, and our limitations.
A weekend that you don’t just experience—you keep in your heart.
