From March 20 to 22, Frankfurt/Main became the center for Romanian-speaking women who came together for a special weekend of fellowship, reflection, and inner renewal. This valuable meeting had evidently been prepared and organized with a clear vision. A song accompanied the participants like a common thread throughout the days: “Cineva se-ngrijește de mine mereu” – “Someone always cares for me.” This musical assurance became a quiet yet powerful message that ran through every part of the program.
The weekend connected both spiritual and interpersonal elements. Devotions, prayer times, and honest conversations created space for genuine encounters. Laughter, tears, and listening abounded. New friendships were formed, and existing ones were deepened. In this blend of vulnerability and joy, a sense of belonging grew that continues to have an impact beyond the weekend.
The seminars led by psychologist Narcisa Ispas, who explored the topic of attachment in depth, were a central component of the program. Under titles such as “Love or Dependency?”, “Attachment Patterns,” and “When the Bond Becomes a Prison,” she guided the participants through complex emotional landscapes. It wasn’t just about analysis, but above all about raising awareness: How do our relationships shape our lives? Where does healthy intimacy begin—and where does it tip over into dependency? Grappling with these questions often revealed hidden inner struggles and unspoken pain. At the same time, it opened our eyes to a crucial step: Healing is possible—and necessary.
Music also played a central role. Soprano Daria Cernicica touched the hearts of those present with her voice. Her concert “Salvată prin har” (“Saved by Grace”) was an emotional highlight—yet her musical presence permeated the entire weekend, deepening the spiritual richness of the encounters.
In addition to the program’s main events, many small details will be remembered: lovingly prepared surprises, fragrant gestures of kindness, long evenings filled with conversation and singing together. A boat ride on the Main River provided a space for lightheartedness and deepened the newly formed relationships.
In the end, more than just memories remained. What remained was a certainty: No one is destined for loneliness. Hope is real. And behind it all is a guidance greater than our own understanding. Or, as it is expressed in Proverbs 16:9 NIV: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
