  • Prayer Request for Heather-Dawn Small

We have received unexpected and shocking news about Heather-Dawn Small, the General Conference Women’s Ministries Director who has inspired so many women around the world for more than twenty years. We are saddened to hear that terminal cancer has spread in her body. Tests are still being made to determine which treatment is appropriate. This is a challenging time for her and her family, with all plans for their future time together canceled. However, Heather-Dawn is determined to serve the women of the church for as long as she has to live, be it months or years, as she is able. We thank God for her service and leadership. Even in this difficult time, she is an inspiration with her joyful attitude and acceptance of God’s will.
In a message, she writes, “My sisters, daughters, friends, I love you dearly. I have enjoyed our time together traveling in your fields. God has blessed me tremendously throughout my life and will continue to do so until my last day. I am at peace with the diagnosis. I have joy overflowing. I have Jesus. I am blessed.”
We ask you all to pray for her and her family and thank God for all that He has done through her devoted life of love and service, encouraging and inspiring us. Now it is our turn to serve and encourage her through our prayers and messages of love.
