The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gherla has launched the "Parents' School" program, an educational initiative that will take place monthly, over the course of eight months, within the community. The program offers parents a space for dialogue and support, where they can receive practical guidance and share experiences related to the challenges of raising children.
The meetings will address current topics such as parent-child communication, effective discipline, emotional development, bullying prevention, and values education. Here are some of the topics: Family and education, Do I know my child? Do we know how to communicate? Education in freedom. The right to a positive image. Recap your sex education. Education for non-violence. Authority in the family. The activities are coordinated by Pastor Martin Ilyeș, educational psychologist Simona Adriana Anca, and Ilonka Tobias, who is responsible for the Licurici program at the Conference level. They aim to provide guidance and concrete solutions for a balanced and healthy education for children.
With God's help, we hope it will be an impactful activity for interested parents who, by participating, will discover useful resources for building harmonious and lasting family relationships.
