  • New Women’s Ministries Director for the Czecho-Slovak Union of Seventh-Day Adventists

We warmly welcome Hedwiga Kašlík as the new Women’s Ministries (WM) Director for the Czecho-Slovak Union. At the same time, we would like to thank Iveta Halešova for her dedication and valuable commitment over the past years as leader of the Women's Ministries Department.
Born in Bucharest and raised in Stuttgart, Hedwiga has lived in the Czech Republic for 15 years with her husband, who is a pastor, and their two children. She works as a teacher for German and music at an international high school in Ostrava and is involved in various areas of church work as a pastor's spouse, including Sabbath school, health initiatives, and music.
For some time now, however, God has placed a special burden on her heart for working with women. Initially, her focus was primarily on mentoring young women and girls. Today, she looks forward to walking alongside women of all ages—because life as a woman is marked by many changes, transitions, and new challenges.
Having herself experienced the ups and downs of a constantly changing life as a wife and mother, she is grateful to now be able to share her experiences, questions, and hopes with other women and to grow together in faith.
We are very happy about this call and wish Hedwiga much joy, creativity, and God's rich blessings in this responsibility.
