  • Milan Baggio and Novara Meeting

On Sabbath, June 13, on the occasion of the Women’s Ministries (WM)  Emphasis Day and as part of the sisterhood partnership program promoted by the local WM department, women from the Adventist churches in Milan Baggio and Novara gathered to share an afternoon filled with emotions, reflections, and fellowship in sisterhood. It was particularly meaningful to see one another again just a few weeks after the Women’s Ministries spiritual retreat in northern Italy. The gathering allowed even those women who had been unable to attend the retreat to relive those emotions.

The central theme of the day focused on the complex and valuable role of women in their multifaceted responsibilities as mothers, wives, and daughters. The importance of creating opportunities for women to meet and share experiences emerged strongly—a world rich in diverse facets, sensibilities, and gifts, which finds a source of support and encouragement in mutual sharing.

The speaker, Monica Carozzi, the WM leader for northern Italy, guided the participants through a particularly engaging closing activity. Each woman drew a symbolic object from a bag and, starting from that object, reflected on the meaning it could take on as a personal mission toward the people around her. It was a simple yet profound exercise that sparked creativity, spiritual reflection, and a desire to be an instrument of service and witness in daily life. The gathering concluded with a snack in an atmosphere of joy, gratitude, and a renewed awareness of the value that every woman can bring to her family, the church, and society.
