  • Meeting of Romanian Christian Women in Göppingen, Germany

"When God Exalts a Woman, She Is Victorious." This was the theme of a special gathering of Romanian Christian women on March 7, 2026, at the Göppingen Seventh-day Adventist Church. Women from various Christian congregations—Baptist, Pentecostal, Orthodox, and Adventist—came together to experience fellowship, encourage one another, and serve God together.

Mika Varga traveled from London at the invitation of the organizer to serve as a speaker. Through her spiritual songs and encouraging messages, she strengthened the participants in their trust in God in everyday life and in seeking His guidance.
The spiritual introduction was led by a speaker from the Baptist congregation in Stuttgart. She introduced the theme with the idea that we are not so often shattered in daily life when we hold onto God’s hand. A psychologist from the Adventist congregation in Schwäbisch Gmünd provided a practical and very down-to-earth reflection on the topic “Who cares for those who care for all?” A reminder of the importance of women’s Christian mission in our society, as well as their role as bearers of faith, hope, and care, came from the Central Rhenish Conference of Adventists.

Young talents also enriched the program with musical performances and technical support. With God’s help and guidance, even seemingly insurmountable technical problems were overcome. Since the gathering took place one day before International Women’s Day, the participants were treated to a small sweet surprise as well as traditional Romanian cornulețe.

Adriana Ileana from the Göppingen Adventist Church organized this meeting. She is the founder of the nonprofit organization MIA – Freude Schenken (Giving Joy). Together with a wonderful team that has become like a family to her, this event was prepared with great dedication and carried out successfully. For several years, Adriana has been involved in various Christian and social projects. Her heart beats especially for supporting needy children and families in Romania, but also for fostering connections, offering encouragement, and providing practical help to people in Germany—regardless of their background or religious affiliation. She is very grateful for the support and openness of her church.

The gathering was marked by a warm atmosphere of fellowship, faith, and mutual encouragement. Many participants reported that they tangibly experienced God’s presence and went home strengthened—with the certainty that God sees, knows, and accompanies every single woman. These experiences sparked a desire for more such gatherings. We hope that many more women will come together to strengthen one another in faith, experience fellowship, and honor God together. Despite our different denominations, we are united as Christian women by a common goal: to praise God and be a light in this world. For when God exalts a woman, she is victorious.
