  • Leadership Training Level 1 in Weggis, Switzerland 31.05.-03.06.2018

The women all were keen to participate and some came from as far away as Berlin and Milano. Others came from the Italian or the German-speaking areas of Switzerland. They were rewarded with a phantastic view over the Vierwaldstätter lake, a very warm atmosphere and valuable topics like ´A woman of worth, ´Effective public speaking´, ´Creative Bible Study´. The topics are useful for personal growth as well as for involvement in church and outreach. Thanks to the excellent translators women from both language groups were able to participate in this seminar.

For Gerd-Laila Walter and Hannele Ottschofski this seminar was the last training session in their role as facilitators and speakers. Gerd-Laila is retiring and looking forward to spending more time with her husband. She was Women’s Ministries director for the Austrian Union for the last 21 years. She has built up a functioning ministry from scratch. Unfortunately the Austrian Union has not yet installed a replacement.
Hannele has worked as a volunteer for many years and given a valuable service to the Women’s Ministries department. In close co-operation with the leaders of the German-speaking regions (DACH) she has been a support in providing translations, organizing events and congresses. Heidi Albisser (CH) and Angelika Pfaller (D) bid farewell with gratitude and regret to these two special women who have become good friends across frontiers. They are sure to continue to be a blessing to women wherever they go.
According to a report by Heidi Albisser
