To mark International Women’s Day on March 8, members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Peretu and Necșești, Romania, wanted to bring a little joy to the hearts of women in the community through a gesture full of warmth and care. Volunteers went door-to-door in the town of Necșești, offering flowers and food packages to families in need. For some of the mothers, a single flower became a precious sign that they are not forgotten, and the emotion of the moment was visible in the smiles and tears of gratitude from those who received this small gift.
The initiative continued at the Lidl store, where employees were surprised with flowers offered as a token of appreciation for their work and dedication. In the afternoon, volunteers brought the same message of gratitude to the hospital, offering flowers to the medical staff who serve daily with devotion and care for others. It was a simple gesture, yet one filled with respect and gratitude for all the women who, through love, hard work, and sacrifice, bring light and hope into the lives of those around them.
