From November 8 to 12 Hope TV Germany aired the third annual live evangelistic event, “Sag Ja zu Jesus” (Say Yes to Jesus), this time featuring a young woman as the speaker presenting this prime-time program. Shaina Strimbu, who ministers in the greater Vienna area, received her theological training at Bogenhofen Theological Seminary in Austria and has served the church in various positions, including youth ministry. She was awarded a scholarship from the Women’s Ministries scholarship fund while at college.
The whole evangelistic series was executed flawlessly with attention to every detail, starting with the beautiful setup and lighting, stage direction, and camera installation, creating a warm atmosphere. But all that was enhanced by Shaina’s personality, authenticity, and charm, as she spoke about Bible characters who encountered Jesus. Her words spoke directly to the hearts of the viewers and challenged them to consider what Jesus means to them personally. Shaina’s appeal was to get to know Jesus as a personal friend who will never leave us.
It was so good to see the Scriptures expounded through a woman's lense and experience this new approach to the stories of the Bible. We hope to hear and see more of that in times to come.
