Girls4Christ Weekend in Austria

This year’s Girls4Christ weekend attracted 21 girls between 12 and 18 years to spend time together in the beautiful Austrian mountains from October 12 to 14, 2018. Under the auspices of Doris Lumpi and her great team they experienced a relaxing, profound and fun weekend. They enjoyed hearing three young speakers who shared about their life’s experiences with God. Many girls had come from far away either by train or car and upon arrival they were met by a beautifully decorated meeting room and the smell of a delicious meal. The singing at the beginning of the evening program prepared the hearts to hear what Eunice had to tell about an occasion when she experienced God’s protection in a very concrete way. When girls meet food is always important. The Sabbath began with a delicious breakfast after which Gabi told an exciting mission story. Shaina led the group in the study of the Song of Solomon, a really beautiful love story in the Bible. After lunch they made an excursion to near-by Lake Wolfgang. The topic of making good decisions was also addressed, particularly when young people are looking for love. The evening concluded with an entertainment program. On the Sunday morning Shaina wrapped up the weekend’s message asking the girls to consider how much time they spend in building a relationship with God. A wonderful weekend was over all too soon.
