  • Girls4Christ at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Youth Sabbath

A part of our Girls4Christ team had the privilege to attend the Youth Sabbath in Schwäbisch Gmünd on June 4, 2016. This was yet another occasion for us to put up our information booth and offer a workshop. The title was “Bible Art Journaling” and the interest was so great that the available space in the creative area was quickly filled with young people. Both boys and girls were able to let God’s Word take root in their hearts in a creative way. Bible Art Journaling is not yet well known in Germany. Bible verses are translated into the “language of Art”. That is, Bible verses are visualized using various art materials. All participants were free to choose their Bible text and the material used. Thus various works of art were created. The workshop and the interest for the project were very encouraging for us a a team. We were also surprised that all participants gave us their contact data so that they could be informed about a mission-oriented art project planned for next year. It was so good to see how young people can become excited about God’s Word in a new and intensely enriching way.
