On Sunday, May 27, the Baden-Württemberg Women’s Ministries Department invited girls and women to the Black Forest resort Freudenstadt for day of creativity. After a delicious brunch and a devotional about Dorcas (Acts 9) several workshops were offered based on the creative way Dorcas reached out to the people in her community. The attendees spent the day making presents and give-aways for their friends and neighbors who need encouragement - sewing, crocheting, painting, coloring and gluing with enthusiasm. One of the women remarked, “Today I discovered new ideas for missionary outreach from a sector that we have not yet considered.” It would be a good idea to revive a new kind of Dorcas activity to benefit the sick, lonely and depressed.
