On May 8, 2024, the General Conference Women’s Ministries Department held its inaugural WM Mother’s Day reception and fundraiser for the WM Scholarship Fund to which GC employees and friends were invited. This was an opportunity to honor special women in their lives with a GC Women’s Scholarship donation. Photos of honored women were displayed during the program. Some attendees shared why these women were special to them.
At the end, there was a drawing of submitted names for a raffle basket. Karen Pearson, an editor of the Women’s devotional book was a lucky recipient of the basket.
