There is good news from the Oltenia Conference, Romania, where God opens doors to people’s hearts, sometimes in unexpected ways.
A special project began on March 15, “The Craiovița Creative Workshop,” a space where women gather to create, learn, and encourage one another. The initiative was made possible through the kindness of Ms. Mădălina, a friend from the neighborhood, who, though not an Adventist, generously offered a watercolor painting class, sharing this art with great patience and passion.
Together we spent a lovely and practical time, learning simple painting techniques and discovering the joy of colors. Sometimes, great things are born on a small piece of paper: bookmarks painted with care and accompanied by a “Living Word,” then offered to people encountered in those special moments we often call divine encounters.
For many women, such gatherings are more than just a creative workshop. They become a space for healing the mind and soul, a place where burdens are shared, tears are understood, and hope regains its color.
It’s amazing how sometimes a painful experience can become a path to healing. Mădălina’s story is a living example: from her own struggle came the desire to bring beauty and peace into others' lives. Thus, step by step, a community of women who love beauty and mutual support is formed.
And perhaps the most beautiful thing is that God sometimes works through people we would least expect, bringing different hearts together for a common purpose: healing and friendship. Sometimes, a paintbrush, a color, and a living Word can change a heart. And when God paints, every life becomes a work of art.
