300 Reflections. And still going strong

The weekly reflection Impuls is celebrating an anniversary

  • 300 Reflections. And still going strong

Some things grow quietly. Week after week. Without much fanfare. And suddenly you realize: something has emerged that holds its own.

In a few days, the 300th reflection will be published.
What seems like a fixture today began anew nearly six years ago—and yet its history is much longer. Long before that, there were words, thoughts, and small rays of hope in Women’s Ministries in Germany. Under various names, in different forms, particularly in recent years. And yet there was always the same longing: to touch people in their everyday lives.
The reflection Impuls has grown up.

Nowadays, week after week, Impuls reaches several hundred subscribers directly via email. But it doesn’t end there. It is forwarded, shared, passed on—from heart to heart, from screen to screen. Beginning with about 600 sent emails, it reaches roughly 13,000 people.
13,000 moments in which a thought lingers.
13,000 chances for a sentence to arrive at exactly the right moment.
And from the start of this year, the initiative has found a new home: on Instagram and Facebook under hoffnungsfunken.mut. There, too, it unfolds its impact—visible, shareable, right in the midst of digital daily life.
That’s why 300 issues are more than just a number. They are 300 traces. 300 invitations to pause. 300 little reminders that hope often begins quietly.
Reason enough to look back.
In April 2026, the top 30 most touching Impuls moments will be republished—selected by the subscribers themselves. From April 1 to 30, one of these special moments will appear daily in the Stories on social media. A collection of what is remembered. What has sustained us. What has moved us.
And perhaps that is precisely the secret of Impuls:
It doesn’t want to be loud. It wants to be authentic.
If you’d like to subscribe to Impuls, just send a quick email to frauen(at)adventisten.de.
And if there was a reflection that particularly touched you: Now is the time to share it (via email to the same address). Because sometimes, something big starts just like that—with a small impulse.
