The Junia Awards of the Association of Adventist Women highlight women in church leadership and ministerial roles throughout the Adventist world.
The Inter-European Division Junia Award Winner is Rebecca Kessewa Gaisie is the lead pastor of the Gaeta & Cellole churches and church planting in Isernia, Italy. She is also the Women’s Ministry director for the Southern Camp, Italian Union. She serves as a course lecturer on multiculturalism and church mission, teaching how to foster a church environment where people of every background feel safe, welcomed, and valued. She holds degrees in ministry from Villa Aurora Adventist University and a DMin from Andrews Seminary in Multiethnic & Multicultural Mission. She also has written devotionals and won awards for poetry and nonfiction writing. She has a rare gift for building bridges across cultures and generations, and a compelling voice as a speaker and communicator who makes the message resonate in diverse communities. Her leadership pairs academic depth with warm, people-centred pastoral care.
