On Sunday, Sept. 28, an atmosphere of special grace enveloped the meeting "Women of Light," organized by the Women's Ministries of the Adventist Church of Lentini, Sicily. Immersed in the beauty of a natural setting, women gathered to experience intense spiritual moments and deep fellowship. Voices joined in a chorus of praise, and collective prayers were sent to our God. The theme "Being Light" ignited poignant reflections and personal testimonies on how to shine with the light of Christ in daily life amid the labors and joys of each day.
But it was in the sincere hugs, radiant smiles, and words of comfort exchanged among the participants that the true essence of Christian sisterhood was manifested. Each gesture of love spoke more than a thousand words, communicating acceptance, support, and the tenderness that only hearts united in faith can give. The agape meal transformed the simple moment of a lunch into a true communion, where the meal tasted like home, family, and church.
The culmination was the final intercessory prayer, when all together brought their needs, hopes, and concerns before God. In that circle of faith, the divine presence was felt as the prayers rose to heaven like a bridge of heavenly hugs.
Each woman returned home with a full heart and renewed spirit, taking with her the awareness of her call to be "light" in the world. It was a blessed day on which we planted a seed destined to sprout and bring hope to families, communities, and hearts in need.
“So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
