The Women’s Ministries Department of the Adventist Church has created a strategy to nurture and empower about 65 % of the world church membership and to help them reach out to others.
The Department Directors at the Division level had a brief appearance on the stage during the report on Total Member Involvement on July 5. In their beautiful traditional and national costumes, they looked very pretty. But this was not meant to be a photo shoot. It was an opportunity to inform the attendees about the work that women around the globe do as faithful female church members involved in the ministry of outreach in its various creative forms. While the leaders were waiting backstage for the order to march onto the stage, the newly elected president of the General Conference, Erton Kohler, happened to turn up. He was happy to pose with the WM directors. It would be good for the world church to know more about what the women are doing to nurture other women and their spiritual needs, to empower them through inspiring continuing education so that they can engage in sharing their faith and the Gospel Message to other women whose lives they touch.
