On Sunday afternoon, June 22, in the Balta-Albă Church in Bucharest, the seminar “The Fragrance of Friendship”, was presented by psychotherapist Laura Fierbințeanu. The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, bringing together 87 participants, 26 of whom were non-Adventist guests.
The program was enriched by special musical performances. Iustin Pleșcan delighted the audience with classical guitar pieces by J. S. Bach and Dionisio Aguado. Luminița Pâinică, Mihaela Țîmboi and Silvia Stoica also added to the emotion with two remarkable vocal performances.
The second part of the seminar was an interactive workshop in groups of two. Through a symbolic exercise, participants reflected on the healing power of genuine friendship. Each woman received an envelope containing a broken heart and a patch. After a time of discussion and prayer with her partner, each ‘wounded heart’ was symbolically healed and mended, a touching gesture with deep spiritual significance.
At the end, Pastor Claudiu Goran gave a word of thanks and a prayer of blessing. A tasty and healthy fellowship meal encouraged interaction among the participants. The invited ladies expressed their gratitude and their desire to return to such meetings, stating that they felt welcomed and encouraged.
On leaving, each participant received a small gift: a bouquet of summer flowers and a mirror inscribed with the message: “I am a daughter of God”. It was an afternoon in which friendships were made, perhaps some just for this lifetime, but others maybe forever.
