Women's Sabbath in Naples, Italy

A Spiritual Prayer Journey

Women's Sabbath in Naples, Italy

On Sabbath, March 8, on the occasion of International Women's Day, the Women's Ministries group of the Naples Adventist Church organized a day that was both festive and very spiritual. A 'spiritual breakfast' was held at 9 a.m., which began with a three-step journey. We read and meditated on some Bible verses that highlighted the importance of prayer. The last station was devoted to reading prayers previously written by sisters and brothers in the faith on colorful and scented cards. In this way we were reminded that prayers are a fragrance that rises to heaven.
The church was festively decorated in a special and joyful atmosphere, appropriate for reflection and praise, and lit with scented candles. A large table, placed in the center of the hall, was set for breakfast, with food prepared and offered by thechurch  women. At the end of the journey we enjoyed breakfast together.
This was followed by a special Sabbath School, held by the women. Then came the time for the sermon presented by Adrienne Benton, an Adventist NATO chaplain based in Naples. In the afternoon, Adrienne conducted a spiritual activity.
It was a wonderful Sabath to say the least, with the whole church happy and grateful for the gift of women, for the joy of being part of the church family and being able to share together in the company of our great Creator and God!
