Women's Meeting in German-speaking Switzerland

Meet Ellen!

Women's Meeting in German-speaking Switzerland

A record-breaking 85 women were able to experience an exciting day on March 2 on the topic of “Ellen White as a person like you and me!”
The speaker was Chantal Klingbeil, who, thanks to her many years of work at the Ellen G White Estate, has a comprehensive insight into history and reports.
We immersed ourselves in Ellen's childhood and life as a mother and wife. Although nowadays we are less often confronted with the early death of children or parents than back then, we are still in the same boat when it comes to many areas of life, including worries and joys. I think that many were relieved to see how normal Ellen was - despite her special mission. Chantal talked about how clearly recognizable it was for Ellen's contemporaries that the visions and calling were divine and how we can tell the difference between divine and satanic visions.
The morning also included discussion sequences in groups of two. One task was, for example, to describe an image that the partner could not see herself. This was then resolved. It was an exciting experience that showed us how prophecy and the Bible complement each other and are not mutually exclusive, and how the divine inspiration of the Bible writers works.
As every year, we were treated to a creative and delicious lunch prepared by the kitchen team. In the afternoon, the focus was, among other things, on the classification of E.G. White quotes that are difficult to understand and what helps us to classify them better. The aim of Ellen's ministry was always to lead people to Christ and the Word of God. In her commitment, even in areas that were more political in nature, she focused on this, as well as on her personal relationship with God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
For me, the women's meeting day is a wonderful time out. Interesting topics, excellent speakers, blessed fellowship, encouragement in everyday life, from women for women who are on a journey together. Thank you for a great day!
