Glimpses of Heaven

Romanian Union Women’s Ministries Targets Young Women

On March 14-15, a meeting for young female students was organized by the Women's Ministries Department of the Romanian Union Conference in collaboration with Adventus University at its campus in Cernica. The event was called "Glimpses of Heaven" and aimed to feed, equip, and motivate young women for mission.
Friday Night
On this occasion, about 100 female students, aged between 18 and 30, enjoyed a diverse program starting on Friday evening. The program began with a round table discussion with experienced special guests (Elena Petrescu, Simona Anca, Dagmar Dorn, Eliza Spătărelu, Liliana Radu, Gabriela Diaconu and Grațiela Șchiopu) who addressed questions like "What is the meaning of Women's Ministries", "What attracts you most to the Women's Ministries", "What was for you the most special event you have attended or organized", "How can a woman or a young woman develop at Women's Ministries?" and beautiful mission experiences were shared.
Sabbath Service
On Sabbath morning, the devotional entitled "For Such a Time as This" brought to the attention of the participants Esther's determination to save her people at the risk of her life, and the interactive and engaging Sabbath School led by Eliza Spătărelu produced a real movement and sparked creativity in all groups. The sermon was presented by Dagmar Dorn, Director of Women's Ministries at the Inter-European Division, and brought up the women of the biblical exodus and their decisive role in that fiery period in the history of God's people. Faith, action, and total surrender into His hands are qualities that we must also find in our characters, now that we are also waiting for the great exodus and for God to come and deliver His people. The presentation was powerful and the participants found themselves in God's plan.
Afternoon Seminars
In the afternoon, seminars were presented with the titles "Living In Abundance" (Dagmar Dorn), "Romantic Love - Myths or Reality?" (Simona Anca), and "The Best Version of You - Assertiveness" (Liliana Radu). Throughout the meeting, translation was provided by Grațiela Șchiopu. Activities such as "Prayer Garden" and "Escape Room", organized by Eliza Spătărelu and a team of students, enriched the day's program and added value to the whole event. Dialogue, uplifting songs, instrumental spots, little surprises, and the fellowship table completed the light-filled picture of the Adventus meeting. Thanks be to God for this blessed occasion!
