Italian Women Meet to Pray

Teach us to pray

On Friday evening March 19, 2021, we started the Sabbath in a very special way. Women's Ministries held a national meeting on Zoom to talk about prayer and to pray together. The idea came from the “Teach us to pray” seminar of the resources for the International Women’s Day of Prayer 2021.
Almost all Adventist churches in Italy are open only on Saturday morning for worship, because of the restriction to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, so we decided to hold the seminar online. During the Zoom meeting we had some technical problems as often happens with live events, but generally everything went well. The four speakers explained how to improve our prayers. The program also included videos and songs. Before the end of the meeting, we passed from “theory” to practice. All the people connected via Zoom were able to pray in small groups in the breakout rooms that the platform makes available; those who followed the meeting live on hopemedia.it, Facebook and You Tube, were invited to pray in their homes. It was a blessed experience to the glory of the Lord, confirmed by the many messages of appreciation we received.
Some statistics: 190 people followed the meeting on Zoom, 130 on the three channels HopeMedia, Facebook and You Tube; what amazed us is that the post reached over 2 thousand people. We are grateful to the Lord for this experience of prayer and sharing.
